Ecological Benchmarks File (EBF)

The Ecological Benchmarks File output can be found within the GID file. The GID file section contains chemical benchmarks for aquatic organisms. Each EBF producing database module must format its output to match the specifications of the GID file. One and only one EBF database specification can exist per site within the GID file. There are two parts within the specification, one contains the database owners specific parameters and the other contains the specification parameters below.


    BodyPart (String) - Body part description
    ECChem (Float) - EC effect concentration values
    ECChemCom (String) - Comment on conditions of measurement for EC values
    ECChemDur (Float) - EC effect duration
    ECDescript (String) - Short description for EC percentages
    EDChem (Float) - ED effect concentration values
    EDChemCom (String) - Comment on conditions of measurement for ED values
    EDChemDur (Float) - ED effect duration
    EDDescript (String) - Short description for ED percentages
    Effect (String) - Description of effect
    LCChem (Float) - LC effect concentration values
    LCChemCom (String) - Comment on conditions of measurement for LC values
    LCChemDur (Float) - LC effect duration
    LCDescript (String) - Short description for LC percentages
    LDChem (Float) - LD effect concentration value
    LDChemCom (String) - Comment on conditions of measurement for LD values
    LDChemDur (Float) - LD effect duration
    LDDescript (String) - Short description for LD percentages
    LOEDChem (Float) - Lowest dose with observable effects (LOED)
    LOEDChemCom (String) - Comment on conditions of measurement for LOED values
    LOEDChemDur (Float) - Duration for LOED
    LOELChem (Float) - Lowest concentration to cause an effect (LOEL)
    LOELChemCom (String) - Comment on conditions of measurement for LOEL values
    LOELChemDur (Float) - Duration for LOEL
    NOEDChem (Float) - Highest dose with no observable effects (NOED)
    NOEDChemCom (String) - Comment on conditions of measurement for NOED values
    NOEDChemDur (Float) - Duration for NOED
    NOELChem (Float) - Highest concentration not to cause an effect (NOEL)
    NOELChemCom (String) - Comment on conditions of measurement for NOEL values
    NOELChemDur (Float) - Duration for NOEL

    NumECDescript (Integer) - Short description for EC percentages

    NumLOEDChem (Integer) - Lowest dose with observable effects (LOED) counts
    NumLOELChem (Integer) - Lowest concentration to cause an effect (LOEL) counts
    NumNOEDChem (Integer) - Highest dose with no observable effects (NOED) counts
    NumNOELChem (Integer) - Highest concentration not to cause an effect (NOEL) counts
The minimum specifications from the above list are: at least one of the *Chem and the associated Num variables from the list above (For example: NOEDChem, NOEDChemDur and NumNOEDChem) as well as ChemList.CASID and AquaticOrganism.ScientificName.
