5.2.2  Emission Rate Computation

 The wind suspension rate is calculated from the emission rate for respirable particulates

S is the volumetric wind suspension rate (cm yr^-1)
E_wind     is the total emission rate for wind erosion (g yr^-1).

The total emission rate for wind erosion is the sum of the wind-erosion/mechanical-disturbance and vehicular travel emission rates.

E_wm     is the emission rate for wind/mechanical suspension (g yr^-1)
E_veh     is the emission rate for suspension due to vehicular travel (g yr^-1).

In addition to using the wind suspension rate, S, in the source-term module, the total emission rate, E_wind, is used as input to the atmospheric dispersion, transport, and deposition model.
